Noye's Fludde

 awards for all

Noye's Fludde

What a spectacular we were all treated to.  Two performances were delivered to sell out audiences at Ashby Wesley Church on Sunday 29 March 2009.  The choirsters and performers have been working hard for several weeks painting costumes, making masks and props.

We are grateful to:

Em Whitfield Brooks for her production,
Lynn Wait for designing the set
Susan Hollingworth for her unstinting work in bringing the production together
All performers for their professional contribution to the production
All choristers for giving up so much time to make this happen
Alison East for the fantastic costumes which were outstanding
Awards for All for their grant without which we would not have been able to put on such a spectacle
Ashby Wesley Church for their hospitality

Rosie Clark for ensuring all were fed and provided with refreshments on the day
St John's Ambulance for providing first aid cover
David Lloyd for arranging all the movement of instruments
The Committee for their organisation skills and selling tickets, displays etc
Front of house volunteers for their help in getting so many people in and seated in good time and also for selling programmes, photos and CDs

And last but by no means least, the audience who willingly contributed to make it as good as it was.

Comments received include:

I think we had a cracker of a performance.
Thank you all so much.
It was a real community opera with so many local people taking part and helping and performing. And to hear the whole place singing the hymns together brought tears to the eyes.
A brilliiant superhuman effort by you all.
