At last - the SCJC has an up-to-date website!! Long overdue! It's great to see and hear what you've all been getting up to. I can't believe it's been 5 years since I left! Anyway - I've just come back from Australia - I fell in love with it when I went with the choir - where I visited lots of the sights I saw with choir! Memories came flooding back!!!
Anyway - I've just noticed a comment about a reunion - and would love to be kept up to date on it.
See you there then , Jessica...
On August 8th, ex. Choir Member Selina wrote - more or less:
Hi all, why did no one tell me you were coming to Wales? I would have loved to have come and seen you all. If any of the leavers are coming to Cardiff to Uni. this year (or anywhere in Wales) get in touch and we'll go out or something. Love to you all. xx
(We can't publish Selina's address but we could pass on a message.)
On July 27th Vanessa Osborne asked:
WOULD ANY MEMBERS LIKE TO TAKE PART??
My mother lost her sight last year and after a forced early retirement she has put her time and efforts into fundraising for sight related charities.
In October it will be the National Guide Dog Association Week and she has organised a sponsored 10K ( 6 miles in old money) Run / Walk at Quibell Park, Scunthorpe.
Are you available? Can you walk, run or if disabled use a wheelchair or other means.
Do you have friends???......... I am sure you do!
Come along and get involved! You just might enjoy it!
Please ring 01724 357464 for a sponsor form!
Or e-mail me with your details.
If you are not available but you would like to make a donation for the event please contact me and I can provide you with an address to send your donation!
***** PLEASE FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS, colleagues and workplaces AND ASK THEM TO DO THE SAME! *****
THIS IS A MAJOR CAUSE AND ANYONE CAN HELP!
Go on you just might help....Make a difference!
Thanking you Vanessa Osborne ( Mrs ).

Hey
My name is Louise, I met Hannah and Sally from the choir in Llangollen and I'm from Australia. They told me to leave a message so I am. Anyway, hope you all got back home safely.
cya from Louise
The "web master" asked Louise to give us some more details of her trip...
"I'm from the Methodist Ladies College of Perth, Western Australia. Our choir performed at Langollen in the Senior Childrens Choir devision and we came 3rd. We performed 3 years ago in the same section and came 4th but I was
too young to go.
We were on a music tour with not just the choir but some soloists, orchestra, college strings, barbershop and of course the choir. There were 89 students in all we had the privilige of traveling all over Europe."If you double-click the link above you can see more details of the tour on the College web site.
