Membership Details

For anyone interested in joining the Choir, rehearsals take place at Crosby Primary School, Frodingham Road, Scunthorpe on Friday evenings during school term. The Main Choir meet between 6.30 to 8.00 pm., Training Choir between 5.30 to 6.30 pm and the Beginners (from age 3) meet from 6.00 to 6.30 pm.  If bringing a child to the Beginners rehearsal we ask that, because of the age, an adult stays with the child during the session.  Please call Sue Hollingworth (01724 852077) or Maggie Doherty (01724 761998)(e-mail ndoherty@btinternet.com) if you're thinking of coming along.

Subscriptions
Members of the choir pay £1.00 for the beginners choir, £1.50 for the training choir and £2.00 per week for the main choir. This represents excellent value for money for 1½ hours training by one of the country's top choral trainers.

Subscriptions are used to pay for sets of music for the choir, hire of the rehearsal rooms and running costs for the Choirs. Subscriptions may be paid weekly or termly in advance.

Music
All music and a folder are provided free of charge.  We ask that choristers no longer wishing to be a member of the choir return their folder and music so this may be used by someone else.

Uniform
The choir wears a distinctive waistcoat for performances (these are provided free) - the other requirements are:-

Smart Black Trousers (school type)
White school type blouse or shirt (full length sleeves)
Black Socks
Black shoes (NOT boots or trainers)
Girls must have long hair tied back off their face with black bobbles only
