We met Cottontown Chorus at the Grand Final of the Choir of the Year 2008 competition held at the Royal Festival Hall in London. What a fantastic choir they were. They entertained us with some great songs, choreographed to perfection. Why not visit their website and take a look around. If you like barbershop music your certain to love these guys. SCJC is affiliated to Making Music, who represent and support over 2,000 amateur music groups throughout the UK, including choirs, orchestras, and music promoters.

youngchoirs.net was responsible for managing the anonymous funding received by the choir in 2004. The organisation promotes choral singing, and provides associated services to choirs across the country.

SCJC regularly takes part in the Choral Society Christmas Concert and there are many links between the members and committee of each group.

We have a long association with Bob Chilcott, having recorded a CD of his music, taken part in workshops run by him, and sung under his baton at Festival 500 in Canada.

The music of Andrew Carter is an important part of our repertoire. Choristers took part in a concert conducted by this composer at Grimsby during 2004.
In 2004 the choir contributed to a recording of music by English composer Alan Bullard. The other songs on the CD were recorded by Sine Nomine, an international touring choir also conducted by Susan Hollingworth.
The choir sang in the first performance of Ron Corp's Kaleidoscope, conducted by the composer, at the Philarmonic Hall, Liverpool in 2002.
